The Gold standard- really excited to receive this the book is excellent quality, it’s a setting book with plot hooks, custom sub classes and advance potions and a map for the table. it has a cosy vibe but can be easily adapted to suit any campaign, it has everything you need to run in Obojima setting.
Very heavy and thick book! Tons of informations. Love the new subclasses, the world building, the NPCs, foes, maps!
Looking forward to the next one’s release (I have the pdf, but I want the hardcover!).
Obojima instantly transported me into the warm, wonder-filled, and quietly challenging atmosphere that I associate with Miyazaki’s worlds. At the same time, it never feels like an imitation—Obojima has its own distinct identity, charm, and freshness that make it feel truly unique. It left me excited to explore everything this beautiful setting has to offer.
Great book! Love the style and ideas. I like that things can be incorporated elsewhere and gives guidance on how to incorporate themes into your games.
Cool spells too :).
Although I got the wrong Edition at first, the issue was rectified immediately and I got the right book.
I'm very happy with the book and the great team behind Obojima.
I absolutely love this! I love looking through the art and learning more about the world. We can’t wait to play our campaign in this world and have some whimsical fun!
Had so much fun running "The Curious World Within" that I extended it into a longer escort mission. My players are now about to break into an outpost of the Fish Head Coven. (Image attached)
I love the feel of this world, and the art is incredible. My daughter and wife don't normally enjoy D&D, too much fighting isn't their style. Obojima lends itself well to drama and adventure without requiring a great deal of hack and slash. I've been digging into the videos and Discord, even though I don't normally spend a lot of time on those. The potion system is great, and I'll probably adapt that into non-Obojima campaigns also. Looking forward to Tales from Yatamon!
Im a bit of a slow reader but, from what portion i made it to. I love it, the setting, beautiful artwork, the npcs I've read so far and i already have a group excited. Im looking forward to what my party is going to experience. Cant wait for the next expansion, thank you for being cool people and sharing your talents for this amazing sourcebook
Honestly, Obojima is incredible. Everything about the book and setting feel so polished, the art is beautiful, the pages feel great, and the characters and plot lines were all incredibly fun. My players and I enjoyed this setting inside and out. We can’t wait to see what’s next
I love Obojima. I've been reading through it as a kind of travel guide in preparation for a solo journaling campaign and there's so much character and whimsy that I can't help but constantly page through the book and leave notes and bookmarks for myself.
Love this setting! I’m running a ghibli/pirate inspired homebrew setting right now and this has been so helpful.
The book itself is good quality and put together well
When I heard of it I was immediately was invested as when I saw ghibli films I was always amazed by the world and spectacle and this book would allow me to create and explore this in my own imagination which has me excited 😊
It's a beautiful book, I love the artworks and whimsical stories around the island of Obojima. I haven't played it yet with my players but we're all excited to try it out asap! Love goes out to the creators! Very thankful for this piece of art and creativity 💖
Incredibly beautiful book ! The universe is exactly what I've been looking for.
I ran my first session a few days ago and it was amazing ! I can't recommend it enough, I talk about it a lot to my friends haha
I absolutely adore the art (great artists, check them out online !). I backed the Yatamon kickstarter and I'm so excited to get that book as well.
The new classes are great, can't wait to experience them as a player ! The potion brewing system is incredibly fun, the new spells are really good, and the monsters are amazing !
I can't wait to see more of this world ! I want /more tech/ and objects, more lore, more locations, more monsters... I know it's gonna be awesome.
Obojima is a fantastic setting and a beautiful new adventure for players and Dm's. In its current state Dnd in general moving more towards wargaming and less towards creativity and roleplay. So its awesome to see this kind of book especially in a physical copy that you can hold and see the beautiful human made, art and not just the illustrations. The care and craft put into this book shows that each member of the team understood the assignment and did there best to bring this whimsical and cozy adventure to the players.
Reading the PDF is awesome to reference things and get a quick overview - but reading the book (maybe with some tea on a sofa) makes me calm down and feel comfortable.
The book and the items are high quality!! And WOW the book is big… and so beautiful (the illustrations, the layout).
Thanks to all of you who made it possible that I can sit here and hold this book in my hands to show it to family and friends
I am obsessed!
This is such a beautiful book and is great next to my other DnD material. The world has so much density to it and yet feels like you think it should. From pig spirits who live near the truffle town to the witches who can work with First Age tech. It is logical and whimsical. I am already planning out my campaign, arcs, and encounters.
Absolutely love it, such a cozy atmosphere and can work for people who are into the combative and people who are more into the storytelling sides of this world
I've been reading through it non stop since it arrived. Really happy with how it looks and it makes a great addition to my RP library.
Really excited to get started with GMing a session of this.
Arrived in great condition and sooner than expected! The book is very well organized for DM and player support for both old and new players. Extra awesome bonus that it comes with a super fun world map that can easily be framed for home games and player reference.
I visited the booth they had at GenCon in Indianapolis and immediately fell in love with the art style and design. As an avid roleplayer/DM who focuses more on story, character, and setting, I feel as though this is the perfect campaign setting for me. The work and creativity that was put into this project is nothing short of amazing. It’s as if they knew exactly the kind of game I wanted to run/play.
This is the kind of table top role playing experience I’ve wanted all along. Well worth the price! Would recommend to anyone who is down for a cozy, casual, and unique table top game night.
*caution: cat not included. But would highly suggest. ;)*
